For Episode 3 Steve and I paid tribute to the great Ernie Banks, who died of a heart attack at the age of 83 (just days before his 84th birthday).  Tom Harding, Colorado Rockies beat writer for MLB.com also joined us as we did a deep analysis of the NL west, graded the moves for each team, and shared our rankings.

Episode 4 was a deep dive and heavy analysis on the AL west, which has been over-shadowed for most of the off-season, despite Oakland GM Billy Beane going into full blow-up mode once again.  We’ll get into Billy’s mindset and attempt to predict what his next move(s) will be.  The rest of the division has been active as well as most of the teams have bolstered their lineups, including the forgotten Houston Astros.

We also introduced Grade ‘em and Rank ‘em, where we grade the off-season moves (and in some case lack of moves) and rank where we believe each team will fall within the division.

***Correction to what I said on Part II, Iwakuma is not a left-handed pitcher

So far Steve and I have tackled the AL and NL East divisions and a lot of action has continued in the off-season.  One of the dvisions that has seen a flurry of activity is the NL West, which features MLB Champs, the San Francisco Giants.  We dissected all the major and many of the minor moves of each ball club and the changes in the front office.  2015 promises to be a tough year for the entire division, which means great baseball and exciting races.

Sad news to report as MLB legend Ernie Banks passed away at the age of 33 on Friday from a heart attack.  Banks was not only one of the greatest to ever play the game, but he was widely seen as the ambassador for Major League Baseball.  A man we will all miss.

Tom Harding, MLB beat writer for the Colorado Rockies joined us to speak about the Colorado Rockies, their off-season moves, and other likely moves to be made.  We also spoke about the rest of the division and how the competition is shaping up.

We also shared our rankings for the NL West.

Episode 2 featured a very deep conversation and analysis on the American League Eastern division and the off-season moves for each club.  We spoke on the remaining needs for each team and if they’ve actually bettered themselves this off-season or are folding early.

Our special guest will be Joon Lee, Red Sox writer for SB Nation‘s Over The Monster.

This is the inaugural show of Karsay and the Kid.  I have teamed up with former major league pitcher Steve Karsay to create a unique show that combines the knowledge of a big-leaguer and a die-hard baseball junkie.

In the inaugural show, we discussed the results of the much-anticipated Hall of Fame vote, which saw 4 players get selected for induction for the first time since 1955.  This election also marked the first time 3 pitchers were selected to the Hall in their first year of candidacy.

We also shared our thoughts on who we thought should have also made the cut and previewing the 2016 vote.

We closed out the show by breaking down the NL East division and off-season changes made by each club along with our predictions for division ranking.

Scott Carney has been involved in the stock market for many years and has seen many ups and downs.  Recent market activity has been scary and there are a lot of ideas of why volatility has been increasing and we’ll be delving into them.

The market was incredibly weak during Scott’s last appearance, but he predicted an amazing market run to come and he was 100% RIGHT.  With the market still sitting near all-time-high’s, what’s in stored for the coming weeks and months?

Should you be invested in the market or should you stay away?
